My name is Leonidas and I’ve been dabbling in UA-cam videos for a while.. First my thought was make videos to help people cheat the system and save money.. That brought me into the diesel truck market where you’ll notice I have a few DIY videos. I’m upping my game and decided to change my content to street cars, mods, and racing.. Who doesn’t like going fast! I currently co-own a 2021 Challenger Hellcat Redeye (Sexy Blue) which you’ll be seeing a lot from here on out on my channel! I’m still new to vlogging but hope as time progresses I can deliver some great content for my viewers.

FREE!?!?!?!? Ram 2500 Engine Block Heater
Переглядів 36 тис.5 років тому
In this video I go over the steps it takes to install and engine block heater cord in a Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins. If you're looking for a cheap and relatively easy upgrade into the winter package group this is the video for you to watch. The OEM heater cord enables a clean install that should help keep your truck warm and worry free!

Drilling Holes in a New Ram 2500! Clearance Lights Install..
Переглядів 30 тис.6 років тому
In this video I go through a step by step process installing clearance lights on a 2016 Ram 2500. The video is a little long and I apologize for that but this job was massive and took over 2 days to accomplish working about 4 hours or so each day. Plastic Insert Update! Thanks to 1500 Mike for the information there are better clips that your local dealer sells which are metal. MoparPartsGiant.c...

Very Helpful Thanks.
Damn good video.
Good video thanks
or you can unscrew the oil filter and plug it in in 5 minutes from the wheel well
Great video man! I was always afraid doing this on my 2013 Cummins, but after seeing this video I want for it. Got it done last weekend and and it took me just under 9 hours. I drop down the headliner Saturday and finished it up on Sunday. I was taking my time and measuring 100 times!
I'm thinking of going with an aftermarket cable that does come with a really nice socket that screws to the bumper
Great video, thanks!
Glad this video is here. I found my heater cord (it was already installed with the winterization pack from the factory, as I thought), but I couldn’t find the cord on my 2021 Ram 2500. I also had the 2015 Ram 3500 and they were not installed in the same location. Both trucks had the winterization package already on them from factory. Thanks for this video. It was very helpful and using factory equipment is always a great idea, I agree. A little more expensive now can save lots of money later (aka don’t buy the after market and not OEM to save a couple bucks). The factory one will usually save you quit a bit of time anyway. You mentioned the OEM had the clips already installed. Again, great video.
Good video thanks
Thanks Alots sir !! That's the one i've been looking for Since Years 🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼🇷🇼👍👍👍
Hey Just came across your video. Yes drilling holes in a new truck roof top is scary to say the least. Especially a Laramie model. How’s it holding up. Excellent video tutorial
Killer video.
Just wanted to say great video, but I have a question the same process that you are doing I would like to do it with one external SSD and would love to combine it with my internal 1TB Sam son Drive running Mojave 10.14.6 is that possible please if anyone knows I would love to know thank you
A $95 option if you order the truck. But I bought off the lot. Have to decide how bad I want these (spoiler: I want them)
They are worth the effort!
Sad update. RAM no longer makes an OEM kit for later model trucks.
@@jondrew55 honestly they probably haven’t changed from 4th to 5th gen. I can’t say for sure but they really didn’t make that much of a change going from 4th to 5th gen and it’s still the same cummins
@@LeonidasMaximus I’d be concerned the shape of the roof and template might not be the same. I could place them myself, but I would not want to risk leaks if the contours are different. Also not sure where the correct connection point is. I know from experience with my Wrangler the lighting is very finicky when you do add-ons or go from Incandescent light to LEDs. I suppose the $95 for the old set would not be too risky. The worst that could happen is they don’t lay smoothly on the roofline when you test for them and you get the wiring all sorted out BEFORE you do any drilling.
Do you think I can add a fuse at the end of the power wire just in case a led bulb goes out and I don’t fry the wiring harness?
Sure there is nothing wrong with adding a little extra protection
Do you still recommend? Have you had any problems with leaking?
I’ve sold the truck now but everything was still good when I sold it. I never had any leaks but to ease your mind you could always seal the lights with a silicone sealant. I chose not to do that as I went with the mopar kit but go with your gut and do what you think is best!
@@LeonidasMaximus Good to hear no leaks. Also, thanks for taking the time to make this video!
This video helped me out quite a bit. Your effort in ensuring we are able to see exactly what your showing, referring to is extremely helpful. You surely saved me cost as I now have this part on order for my 3500 H/O. Thanks
Your truck didn't come with clearance lights because it's not big enough.
successfully installed mine yesterday thanks to your video - IBEW 1249 💪🏼
Nice bro... glad I could help! IBEW 46
If you're going to replace the cord why don't you just cut the cord make it a lot easier
Worked perfect!! Thanks for making it clear and easy!
Is it only for diesel trucks? My 6.4l has it too.
If it’s on the 6.4L that’s pretty awesome I’m not sure if they are in the same location or not and how it’s ran I only did the research on the Cummins
@@LeonidasMaximus has the cord sticking out the front bumper
@@elpatron1014 I know they have them I’m just not sure if they come with the elements preinstalled from the factory.
Haha. Hey let’s drill the holes in the roof, then test for power.
Well unless the truck is pretty much useless I’m sure there is power somewhere.. it’s not rocket science!
Thank you ❤️
Most detailed how to for this installation!!! Awesome content.
does this work on big sur also just the normal disks on the mac like macintosh?
It's much easier to just do it when you change your oil. Once the oil filter is off, the plug is right there. Helps if you are rotating tires too. Leave wheel off, pull oil filter, plug in cord, done. No need to take apart the air box and cold air return tube.
Thanks my guy!!!
The best and most explanatory video, no matter how long it lasted, what matters that it makes it very clear how it should be done
Awesome
When I ordered my 11 3500 I told the dealer I wanted this but the sales guy exact words were.... you don’t need one it don’t get cold in Pennsylvania lol.
I plugged in my 6.7 dodge but nothing happens, motor is always cold plugged in
What happens if one of the disks fail? Can you remove the failed disk and add a new disk and carry on using the raid disk as usual?
You could buy not without losing the information
@@LeonidasMaximus do you mean losing the information on just the failed disk or both (or all) disks? Sorry I’m confused as I can’t find any info online about what would happen in the event of a failed disk.
@@goodnightkiwi well if I understand it correctly the two disks merged as one may storage parts of files on each opposing drive and if you lose a drive you could possibly lose part of the information but don’t take my overall word for it..
Excellent, Excellent Video! Gives me the confidence that I can do it myself. One of the better "How to" videos on UA-cam
Thanks I tried my best to give the best instructions.. I know how I felt going into that job and I wanted to provide something that would ease the fears to others..
All cummins engines come with a block heater installed. Since the first gen 5.9L. Side note: all block heater cords are safe, may or may not last as long as oem but they are safe. I buy the $10 cords and they work just fine. My oem cord only lasted 6 months. Dielectric grease is important. It will save you lots of cords and getting a light shock when your truck is plugged in.
Wich one its positive and wich one negative ?
Ivan Fuentes on the mopar kit the green wire is positive and there is a shorter black wire with an eyelet connector on it for your ground..
On the roof right
Ivan Fuentes yes you’ll see in my video I grind the primer off the truck to attach the ground
You do not have to run the ground down to the plug
So my negative taps to the short black one the ground ?
Where did you get the template?
They come with the Mopar Lighting Kit
Great Video.. Easy to Follow.. Maybe I'll try to do mine.
What substance did you use to prevent rust from occurring on the holes?
Matt The RAM fan I used the spray on Berliner.. Sprayed some in a cup and painted it on with a brush.
Very good video sir appreciate the the effort. And nice wrenchworkz hat
Paul Rollins Jr. I take it you watch Greg A eh?
IMPORTANT : After locating the disk (for example : disk3) with {diskutil list} the correct command is {diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ UntitledUFS disk3}.
Thanks for the video. It made my install straight foreword.
BRAD330R thanks glad it helped
Thanks man just did mines today, your video helped me alot
Awesome video. By far the best one out there for explaining where all the push pins go and frame clips. Thank you.

If my mac has a Hdd and I replaced my optical drive with a SSD drive and combine them together my laptop would be faster? Or the main hard drive Has to be the SSD to notice change? Best regards
Mr Escobar I doubt that would help.. I’m sure an ssd could help
So if my window sticker says it has the heavy duty snow plow prep group, then I should have a plug already on there? or would I still have to buy a wire plug? Thanks
NAGAZINA FIREWORKS I’m not sure.. typically I’d say yes but depends on how it’s ordered.. however the element should be there.
@@LeonidasMaximus ua-cam.com/video/tQckWybHpOg/v-deo.html
That looks like your turbo return line that you’re pointing out.. the element is higher up almost to the top of the oil filter. It’s hiding.. I can’t imagine they quit putting them in.
Thank you for such a detailed video! Just had my Mopar OEM lights come in the mail today. I have an 11 Laramie Longhorn, basically the same install wise, but will wind up having to bring them back towards my sun roof about an inch due to another roof support behind that shelf from the peek I took in the headliner tonight. Biggest plus side is being able to hang out of the roof to drill those holes though. Haha
Matthew Weaver glad I could help!
once the raid drives are split into 2 drives, how do you make it into just a single 8tb drive again? I cant find this information anywhere. I appreciate some help with this. Thanks
Just saw part 1 and you started with 2 separate drives. What I did was turn one 8tb drive into 2 partition raid. When I delete raid and run the commands you suggested it shows up as 2 different drives and cant figure out how to remove the partitions
Much easier if you don't mess with the headliner console. Just remove both pillars and visors and the head liner front will drop down enough to feed the wires up to the holes. Really funny is that MOPAR says this takes an hour. Uh... nope.
Thanks for the video, been trying after I put in two new ones in, the others wend bad, glad I backed up the info on them before they went. This is awesome! Now I have one drive! Thanks!
